Terminal configuration
Browser
Event-Engine supports all browsers still supported by their vendors, as well as some older browsers. However, for an optimal user experience we recommend using modern browsers, for example:
- Microsoft Edge v. 79+
- Google Chrome v. 23+
- Mozilla Firefox v. 22+
- Apple Safari v. 11+
- Opera v. 18+
Autoplay and sound management
Modern browsers apply the following policy regarding video player management:
1. Sound is always muted when playback is automatic,
2. A user click is required for sound to be enabled at playback start.
For these reasons, our players adopt the following default behaviour:
> In live mode, playback starts automatically with sound muted
> In replay mode, playback starts on click of the "Play" button with sound enabled
Mobile devices
The interfaces provided to participants are compatible with the majority of mobile devices whose operating system is still supported by their vendors. The same applies to web browsers installed on those devices.
Internet connection
The main bandwidth consideration lies in receiving a live video stream. In order to respect our clients' constraints and to ensure reasonable resource consumption generated by large-scale live encoding and streaming, Brainsonic strives to optimise the required downstream bandwidth.
